


There are many places of interest to visit including the many National Trust houses and gardens that abound in Cheshire ( Cheshire is known as "The Garden County" ! )
The historic and beautiful city of Chester with it's unique old shopping rows and black and white buildings is only twenty minutes away by car. Here you can stroll along the old city walls, visit the Cathedral and Museums or take a boat trip along the lovely River Dee. If you fancy a"day at the races" there are regular meetings throughout the summer.
If you prefer to explore the countryside, there are lots of footpaths within the vicinity of the park, passing through woodland and around the many Cheshire meres. Delamere Forest is only 4 miles away with excellent walking and cycling. There are castles at Peckforton and Beeston (also known for it's weekly livestock market and horse sales) with the Candle factory and Ice cream factory close by.
